AFC Bournemouth are pleased to announce a partnership renewal with REIDsteel for the 2023/24 campaign.

REIDsteel are one of the UK’s top steelwork construction and cladding companies, as well as being specialists in steel building design. They’re a manufacturer for industrial facilities, factory buildings, aircraft hangers and highway bridges.

The company will continue to support the Premier League Kicks programme in Christchurch for a second season, as well as being an official partner of the club’s Community Sports Trust.

The programme was formed in partnership with the Metropolitan Police with the aim of involving young people in regular physical activity, to help create safer and more inclusive communities.

The project offers free football and additional opportunities to over 1,000 young people locally a year, with sessions taking place at Mudeford Wood Community Centre between 4pm and 5pm on Wednesdays for ages 8-10 and 5pm and 6pm for 11-14 year-olds.

There is no pre-registration needed for any of these sessions as they all operate on a turn-up-and-play basis.

Rob Mitchell, Commercial Director at AFC Bournemouth, spoke of his delight at the renewal.

“We’ve loved working with REIDsteel over the past year and look forward to building our relationship with them. The Premier League Kicks programme continues to do some great work over in Christchurch and it’s fantastic to see so many young people getting involved.”

Simon Boyd, Managing Director of REIDsteel also commented:

“Our company is proud to be associated with AFC Bournemouth and to be involved in such a great initiative that can deliver opportunities for so many young people in our community”.

“We understand the vital part that businesses can play in society, a value clearly shared by AFC Bournemouth”.
